Do you go for the "glasses in an hour" spots like Lens Crafters and Pearle and Binyons? Shop the internet? Haunt the antique shops for vintage frames? Do you shop the dispensary at a private practice? Why do you shop where you do? Is it price? Exclusivity? Service? Convienence? How much attention do you pay to lens options and what sort of questions do you ask when shopping for a new pair of glasses? These are things opticians like to know! :)

hi all. just got back from an apt with the eye doctor and got the fabulous news that there is a need for new frames in my future. or my present, actually.

anyhow, about six years ago, i had a pair of lovely black and gray kajiya frames, but then when i needed new glasses again three years later, the brand was nowhere to be found. (the store wasn't even there anymore.) is anybody familiar with a place that still sells kajiya? those glasses kicked ass...

if not, does anyone have advice about a brand that gives black, bookish frames a contemporary twist?

Hate wearing my glasses

I have been through four pairs of glasses in the past year and a half. The problem is I take them off, put them down, and then something bad happens to them. I just can't keep my glasses on, they annoy me. Having something on my face constantly drives me crazy but I have to wear them. Don't mention contacts because having something in my eye is worse than something on my face. How can I keep my glasses on?

Volnteers needed for photo project! I need your help!

Hey my name is Kara. I'm a photography student in Boston. I'm doing a photo project for display in a local coffee shop. I'm looking for unique and open minded volunteers for the project.What makes this project unique is that all of the pictures for the project will be taken by the volunteers themselves, which enables me to have people from all over the globe involved. I'm making a collage of peoples faces hands and feet and arranging all of the pictures randomly. The whole concept of the project is to see if people who view the project can match the feet and the hands to the faces. And since the people for the project will be taking the pictures themselves, no two pictures will be alike. If you're interested in volunteering I would just need a picture of your face, Two pictures of your hands one picture of the top of your hands, the other picture the palms. And two pictures of your feet, one of the tops of your feet, the other one the soles. All you'd have to do is email me the pictures and I'll add them to the project. If you'd like I can email you a picture of the finished project. I am hoping that the project turns out good, as I think it's a cool concept that's never been attempted before. Everyone I'm asking to volunteer is being selected completely at random. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. I thank you for your time. I know this quite random, but such is life. Hey all.
i recently joined BH and i am sorry for not being more visible and saying hi...have been dealing with some major stuff recently. anyways, i read a few threads and some of them deal with the theme of trying to feel sexy with glasses. I know how that feels, when i was a teen, i built it up in my head that if a guy leaned in to kiss me, he would bump into my glasses and he would then of course think better of his impulse...it was needless to say, hilarious for my boyfriend, when he realised the reason that i kept talking when he kept trying to lean in to kiss me.
thinking back, glasses used to be my enemy, and were a real hassle for phys.ed. however, add in a little sass, a few years' perspective and i have to say that now i have the choice to have laser to correct my eyes...my glasses, they are staying!!
even in fashion, glasses have become cool. have you seen all the cool ones Anastacia wears???

Woo-hoo! 7 days (give or take) until I get my new glasses! It's been about 8yrs...

Oh, and don't buy into the Am-Best 2/ $69.95....it cost me over $300 after all was said and done.....

o.k...so, due to some unforeseen circumsances I now have to wear my dark green plastic frames for a short while-all the time. The thing is, I don't usually wear them so much and I feel much more comfortable, carefree and sexy without them. I'm a free spirit and so I don't liek feeling weighed down b something on my face...Most people like them although my brother thinks that I look like a wierd librarian..help me so that I can go out of the house more feeling hot..What do you like about girls with glasses...help me to change my perspective, so to speak..
